From Nov.1st – Dec.1st, Manifest is hosting it’s annual facial hair growing competition. This year we will be recognizing the Best in Show and hold a raffle. Here’s how to play.
On November 1st : the PLEDGE
On this day come to Manifest with your face shaven clean, donate $15, and pledge to NOT SHAVE for the entire month. A Fuji Instax photo will be taken of your face and will be posted on the Wall of Pledges for all to see. With your pledge, you are entered into a raffle for a trip for 2 to Las Vegas courtesy of Vacations Hawaii.
On November 3rd, 10th, the 17th: FRAT MEETINGS
Every Thursday(except the 24th/Thanksgiving) in November, from 4pm – 6pm, all fraternity members are welcomed to participate in a happy-hour, only available to pledges. $3 Sierra Nevada & $4 Captain Morgan will be availble but here’s the most IMPORTANT purpose of the Frat Meeting. For every meeting a fraternity member attends, that member gets another raffle ticket entered to win the trip Las Vegas.
December 1st: Man Up party
This is the end and we’re throwing a party just for you, and ladies don’t be discouraged. We here at the committee of the Manifest Man Challenge know all too well that you too have sacrificed and we will have *mustaches to hand out to everyone and that includes the ladies. A panel of judges will determine who is this years “Best in Show”, the man who has the best amount of facial hair after a month. We will also be announcing the winner of the trip to Vegas…but wait, theres MORE! A photo booth area with the Morganettes will be available, so if ever you have a son and he asks himself, “I wonder what my dad was like I he was my age?” There ya go.

The Chinatown street party Octoberfest was a beautiful thing and I can’t think of a better way to greet the month. Tantriq J and Bryan Simpson were running about promoting Sake Pool Party. Frauleins were dressed to the nines lederhosens and all. It was wild and hot and then something unexpected happened. The greatest celeb to ever walk through the doors of Manifest, Nick Swardson (http://www.nick-swardson.com/), came through and even attempted a few Cheehu’s, and even for one haole his cheeeehu wasn’t bad. Now what to be for Halloween…
You know what the coolest thing about being 2? It’s gonna sound hokey but Tradition. I woke up with a massive headache the next morning and flashes of all the fun I had and the pictures that were taken and the Lion Dance by Au’s Shaolin arts and the photobooths. The point i’m getting at is that although most of it was performed from our 1st year Mani-versary (though it wasn’t called that then), by all of you being present over the year and helping us march forward we are IN the process of paving the road for tradition…and many of you are a huge part of that. As you look at these photos ask yourself, “Self! What are you going to think of these in 20 years…30 years?” I think you’ll smile and know you helped contribute memories and experiences you’ll want to be proud of.

Yes it was hot. Yes it was packed. I know, i know the line was long. Yes i apologize for the long wait. No i don’t think i can afford another a/c anytime soon. Of course we’re open on saturdays at 10am. So if you left all of your important belongings like your purse, cell phone, your credit card or in your particular case, your blouse, come by then. No you can’t have my phone number. Yes she didn’t have to wait in line because she’s my blood relative whom i love. No, i’m sorry there’s nothing i can do about that, i don’t choose family members. Why thank you, i think you look very nice as well. No really, I’m sorry but there is nothing i can do.
